LABS

  • Science Lab
  • Math Lab
  • Language Lab
  • Computer Lab

These are creative zones of exploration for the students, wherein facilities for individual working has been ensured so as to not be forced to share equipment and materials among many students.

CLASSROOMS

Well-ventilated and spacious classrooms are designed for maximum productivity and interaction between students and teachers. The seating arrangement and furniture design is such that it is comfortable and efficient for a dynamic give-and-take amongst the participants. Each classroom is equipped with educational aids and technology to maximise the learning experience.

SPORTS FACILITIES

Indoor and outdoor games are both at the students’ disposal to utilise as per their wish, all with excellent facilities and equipment – professional trainers are available for the students’ benefit.

LIBRARY

The school library has a wide range of useful material, comprising of books as well as audio and video matter. The students are guided by a qualified librarian to help them navigate and choose material.

The library is open for long hours so as to be available to the students for their preparation for assignments and events, and students are encouraged to make full use of this facility.

HOUSES

The house system is an integral part of the school for various activities. All students are allotted to one of four houses, and each house is taken care of by a House Master/Mistress, who is directly responsible for the discipline and well-being of the members of the house.

Our students are divided into four houses: Emerald, Sapphire, Topaz, and Ruby.

Regular inter-house competitions are held throughout the year under extracurricular activities which foster a healthy rivalry and a competitive spirit amongst the students.

Beyond the Classroom

Assembly

Our assembly is an important part of our school life, as we have it at the start of a new day and it sets the momentum for the rest of the day. It is planned such that it sets the right tone for the next few hours that we spend together as a community, and so we share some important moments and partake in activities that bring us together.

Our school assembly starts with the School Prayer. It is followed by the Thought for the Day, News reading, Word of the Day, and Shloka Chanting. The assemblies are theme-based and are conducted class-wise and house wise.

Sports

In addition to academia, sports have always occupied an important part of the curriculum at MTPS. We have tied up with Edu Sports, India’s leading sports education organization, who has designed an inclusive well-structured sports curriculum with age-appropriate props as well as fitness and skill assessment of each child.

We have also started football coaching at MTPS this year by the TFP Group for junior and senior boys’ categories. Coaching is conducted thrice a week by professional football coaches. We hope to have a full-fledged competitive football team soon at MTPS going
forward.

Cocurricular Activities

Co-Curricular activities form the core of the MTPS spirit as it harbours friendship with like-minded peers, and hones the competitive spirit and a healthy rivalry amongst each other. It motivates them to strive for higher goals and nurtures teams to work well with each other and play to their strengths while developing themselves to identify and push their limitations.

Co-curricular activities at MTPS are planned such that they touch all domains of life, such as emotional, cognitive, social, moral and cultural and artistic ones, and helps develop the same over time, at their own pace.

These co-curricular activities are planned differently every year, and some of the activities we’ve had are Parade, Recitation, Story Writing, Singing, Dance, Handwriting, clay modeling, Cooking without Fire, Creative Writing, Book review, Memory Test, Mental Ability Test, Debate, Quiz and many more. Participation in Olympiads has proved to infuse a healthy competitive spirit in the students through reward-based assessment.

Mentor Scheme

At MTPS, we follow the Indian Gurukula system for its core values and practices, and to keep in line with its essence, the mentor scheme is followed. This brings about an excellent rapport between teachers and students. 10-12 students are assigned to the care of a teacher, who acts as a guardian, records the ward’s progress and well-being, and attends to his/her requirements, academic as well as emotional. The mentor acts as an effective link between the parents, teachers, and students.

Counseling and Career Guidance

Apart from teachers and mentors, trained counselors are available for the students’ guidance, in areas of emotional wellbeing as well as for assistance in career, academic and personal matters. Opportunities to be counseled by trained peer groups are also available to the students.

Every student is given career guidance based on our records of their aptitude as well as their performance. The wards are advised regarding their further studies, university options, and fields where the child would excel and find enjoyment.

Study Tours and Excursions

We at MTPS believe that travel is one of the best teachers that can be, and hence
extensively plan and supervise excursions and study tours.

The school plans two kinds of excursions, the first one being one- to two-day
excursions/field trips to nearby locations of cultural, historical or religious significance. The second kind is held during the holidays, which are for durations of one or two weeks to various parts of India.

These study tours give them the best memories and learning experiences that they would always remember and cherish.
